Dog Crates…or Dog “Studios”?

When a friend of mine was getting ready to take a transatlantic flight, taking her dog with her, she, of course, researched dog crates and chose the one most suitable for her dog and the type of travel involved. In order to get the dog used to that crate, she put it out for him a couple of weeks ahead of the trip. He took to it wonderfully! He went in so happily and sprawled out…my firend left the door open, except during the night…and he took his toys into it, and seemed to really take possession! So much did he give off this air of satisfaction that we started calling it his "studio"! It was really adorable, and thank goodness for him. I'm sure it provided some comfort amidst the strangeness of the transatlantic travel, to be in his "pad"! In fact my friend said that he didn't appear anxious. That was really good planning.
