It’s R.A.I.N.ing Cats and Dogs

Thousands of lives of unwanted and lost puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats are wasted every year.
R.A.I.N, Rescuing Animals in Need, is an all-volunteer organization located in the Central Florida area that is dedicated to saving these orphaned animals. Unlike other animal shelters that exterminate excess animals, R.A.I.N works hard to ensure a "No kill" policy, helping "foster parents" to bottle-feed baby kittens and take care of puppies and older animals. R.A.I.N works with a team of veterinarians and can even direct people to an Animal Poison hotline.
Luckily, when animals find their way to R.A.I.N., they are instantly treated like special guests. Whether they are covered with fleas or dirt, or whether they arrive in a cardboard box, blanket, or pet carrier, they all receive the care they need until they are hopefully welcomed to a new home.
Youths from age 16 who love felines and canines can volunteer for R.A.I.N. at adoption events, showing the animals, walking dogs and cleaning cages.
