Clothing manufacturers in the US have found support in Noelle Nguyen and her new e-commerce site American Love Affair. Noelle used to run a clothing company and took most of her production to factories overseas as they were cheaper. She dissolved her company to pursue her MBA and after completing her MBA she decided to start a new company selling apparel that has been manufactured in the US. According to her the goal is to find as many American made brands and support them. "I would like to be the Amazon.com for everything made in the US", she says.
After two years of development and five months of searching for products, she launched her e-commerce website. She and her team of eight have scouted for U.S. labels at trade shows and contacted clothing manufacturers discovered on the Internet.
Nguyen's website is in tune with the new call for more American-made products. According to some specialty-store owner's a large number of their clients have grown more patriotic and are asking for "Made in USA" clothing.
